BAPPA RAWAL THE GREAT
Yes, today we are going to talk about Bappa Rawal. Bappa Rawal was a great Indian Rajput king. The story starts from Qasim Bin Yusuf who ordered is workers to bring some slaves and goods from Sindh region ( Now Pakistan ) where king Dahir ruled. When the workers were coming back from Sindh, there ships were attacked by Arabian pariets in Daybul ( now in Pakistan ) . When this news was reached the king, he was angry as his lots of money was wasted. So he wrote a letter to the king that please pay for loss. King Dahir replied that he is not having the power to finish those pariets .
So Qasim Bin Yusuf planned to attack by the way of Makran ( now Iran ) . When the king Dahir got to know this , he went to search for help by the neighborhood kingdoms. Some gave him help and some did not. Some clans such as Jats did not gave him help as King Dahir was a Brahmin by cast which was a high caste but Jats were low casted. That why Jats did not gave help. The first two wars were won easily by Dahir. In the third war Qasim Bin Yusuf send his nephew Mahummad Bin Qasim who was a cruel but great warrior. He was the first Islamic invader to attack on Indian subcontinent.
With no hope of winning he came Daybul. Then he forced the people of Daybul to except Islam. But the people did not excepted Islam. So he ordered to kill all the people above the age of Seventeen and he did that. He crossed river Sindhu ( now Indus ) and came Brahmanabad to attack on King Dahir. He killed king Dahir which his son survived who was in Aroar ( now Pakistan ). Thus Sindh region was concured by Arabs.
King Dahir’s son roamed and came Mewar. In Mewar he met a great warrior Bappa Rawal. Bappa Rawal was born on 713 in Shri Ekling temple, Siyol . He was the son of king Nagaditya of Guhila clan of Rajput warriors. Rana Kumbha, Rana Uday Singh, Rana Ratnasimha, Rana Sangha and Rana Pratap were his successor. Raja Guhiladitya is known as the founder of Mewar dynasty but no, he was the founder of Guhil dynasty. The founder of Mewar dynasty was Bappa Rawal. He quited Guhil dynasty and established the Mewar dynasty by capturing Mewar region. He was ready to help the son of king Dahir and went with him to Sindh with his great Rajput army. At the border, Mahummad Bin Qasims gaurds did not let Bappa Rawal to enter Sind but he fought with them and entered Sindh then he went to Brahmanabad and attacked on Mahummad Bin Qasim. Then the first Rajput vs Arab fight was fought at Brahmanabad. Mahummad Bin Qasim was defeated and then send him back to Arabia and gave him warning that ” STAY LEFT SIDERIVER INDUS. IF YOU SEE INDIA THEN I YOU KNOW WHAT I CAN DO WITH YOU “. From that moment, for four hundred years no muslim invader saw India untill the Delhi sultanate came India. Then he concured wherever his feet took him. He concured Makran, Afghanistan, Punjab of ancient times, Northern India etc. Some parts of MAKRAN was not under his control as they were too far. Did you know that Bappa Rawal was had 35 muslim wives. Bappa Rawal was one of the most greatest warrior of the history of this world but now he is not remember. He died in 753 in Siyol. That time Muslims were shaking from the name of Bappa Rawal but now most of the Hindus don’t know his name. Even Wikipedia don’t know much about him. I have gathered this information from many sites to tell all the Hindus about there power which the have lost in invaders and I want each and every Hindu to know about this great warrior Bappa Rawal who has lost his importance in the history.
